I recently upgraded my VM server/gaming box from a Xeon E5620 to an X5670. My Dell Precision T5500 is currently equipped with 24GB of registered ECC DDR3 1066MHz in six banks of 4GB sticks running in triple channel mode. Unlike the E5620, the X5670 supports faster 1333MHz RAM, but I'm not sure it's worth it to upgrade. Any thoughts?
Any point in upgrading from ECC 1066MHz to 1333MHz?
