Asus Z97 won't recognize drives

Came home from a meeting yesterday and my computer wouldn't come out of sleep mode. It would power on for a split second (all the LED's would come on, and the fan would start, but then immediately turn off). After selectively powering up each piece, I found my video card (GTX 970) to be the culprit (two of the power regulators were arcing to each other, nice melted look on them and watched it happen - science!).

Anyway, went out and got myself a brand spanking new GTX 1060, slapped her into (a different) PCI-e slot, annnnd now it wont boot past bios. Cleared the RTC, took out the CMOS and cleared the RTC again. On the DOS screen pre-bios (where it tells you to hit DEL to enter BIOS), I noticed that none of my SATA drives were recognized except for my optical drive....which would explain why it won't boot. I have attempted to start up with each individual HDD and SSD plugged in independently to no avail. Hit the MEM OK button. No luck either.

Of note, I also now see that my Boot Device LED indicator is solid red from power up to power off, as well as the VGA Indicator LED being solid red. Unsure which rabbit hole to go down at this point. Any help would be appreciated. Specs below.

Motherboard: Asus Z97 Sabertooth Mk 1
CPU: Intel i7-4790
GPU: NVIDIA EVGA GTX 1060 3gb
PSU: EVGA 850w Gold
HDD: Seagate 1tb
SSD1: Sandisk 120gb
SSD2: Samsung Evo 850 Pro 256 gb

Oh, and the Video Card seems to be working fine. I am running an HDMI to it for the display and there are no issues. I have also tried booting without the card and with HDMI plugged directly into MOBO. Same story.
