I did a cleared my CMOS and it's still going up to 100 the CPU Cooler is tightly snugged onto it I had this cooler for about 7 months already and I didn't have any type of problems it just all of a sudden started going to a 100 and the fan's start spooling up

I don't understand what's going on the CPU Cooler is maxed out on the fans when I put my hand over the cooler or over the mount it is cold but it keeps on showing that it's at 100 degrees but it's completely cold so I don't understand what's going on at all and I reformatted this will be my 5th time

It is showing on on all of them including my motherboard but like I said there is no heat radiating from the CPU or from the fans where it is spinning from it's all cold air processor is an i7 6700k Windows 10

ok, if the bios is reporting 100C after a fresh boot and you've reset everything in the bios to default, then either:
1. CPU cooler isn't sitting right
2. bios is acting weird
3. motherboard/cpu sensor issue

what exactly is reading as 100C? cpu package? cpu socket? cores?

ah ok, if the mobo cpu temp is reading 33C, then it sounds like it's a bios/sensor issue

might be worth re-flashing your bios, even if you've already got the latest version

if that doesn't improve things, then it would either be a motherboard or CPU issue

I don't think it's the CPU because if it was the CPU I would think that it probably not work at all if there was anything wrong with this CPU and the motherboard I already changed to the latest Motherboard BIOS is there like anything that I can do command wise to fix anything or I just have to talk to my motherboard manufacturer again for the second time
