Hello everyone,
I just have few questions about CPUs..
I am considering buying ThreadRipper 1950x or I9 7900x with 1080 TI Hybrid most likely.
My Usage: I will be using the computer for Streaming, Recording, HardCore Gaming, Editing, and some soft Art, Simulations, 3D Animations. I would love to write in % how much I will use something but I think words can explain it more. While gaming I will probably 90% of the time be either streaming or recording. When not gaming I will be editing and other (Adobe Programs, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, Simulations ).
Monitors: I am still considering which ones to get but highly likely one 1920x1080 and one 2560x1440.
Questions:
1. If after you read the "My Usage" would you recommend ThreadRipper over I9 7900x ?
( I know ThreadRipper is quite bad at gaming compare to I9 7900x, would you still recommend it over I9 7900x, since we have GPU to do the gaming right ? )
2. What would be the most reliable "source" for benchmarks in gaming and production?
( There is a lot of tech reviews out there, but I hear some are biased. )
3. What would be the best cooler for ThreadRipper 1950x and I9 7900x ?
( I was looking at AIO coolers, or would normal air-cooler be better ? also which one ? )
4. Recording/Streaming perfomance of each CPU ? ( Check example )
(I haven't really seen anyone do this but since ThreadRipper is a bit worse in FPS while gaming (since it's not really meant for that) does it do better when Streaming/Recording compare to Intel? )
[Example.: I9 7900x has 125fps in a game, ThreadRipper has 100fps in a game., now while Streaming/Recording the performance hit on intel is 30fps while ThreadRipper is only 5fps so at the end the result is = I9 has 95fps, TR has 95fps. == Does this make sense ?]
5. Extra Monitor Question: Will having 2 different resolution monitor have any issues for gaming and such ?
(I do not intend to game on both at the same time like dual-gaming)
Let me know if you have any extra opinions on the matter, would love to hear it.
( If you need more details let me know )
Thank you very much for reading.
