A little bit of background. I wasn't using my PC for about a month since the monitor died and I still don't have the money to buy a new one. I recently bought a 32" LED TV to use as a monitor. I've played a couple of days without any issues. Then suddenly when I was playing Far cry primal, the PC crashed and that BSoD showed up. The PC keeps on BSoD every time it loads the desktop. My graphics card is way too outdated that AMD has already stopped giving software updates for it. I've downloaded the latest available driver and reinstalled the graphics driver. I played for a day and it was ok. when i played after that day, I get the BSoD again. I did the same step, reinstalling the driver but this time the BSoD is no longer fixed. I have also installed all the latest Windows updates even the optional ones. There's 2 available drivers for legacy on AMD. I already tried installing each one and even installed both drivers but I still get the BSoD. So, here I am stuck with my on board GPU.

Questions:

* Is my graphics card dying?
* Is it possible that the TV ruined the GPU?
* or is it just AMD drivers causing the BSoD?

Here's my system specs:

* Processor: Intel i7-3600
* RAM: 2x4GB
* OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
* Graphics: Radeon HD 6700
* PSU: 700 Watts
* m-board: default board for Dell Optiplex 790
* monitor: 32" LED TV

update the motherboard sound driver from the motherboard vendors website, then go into device manager and disable any high definition sound drivers that you do not have a speaker connected to. you could also go into BIOS and disable the motherboard sound device.

I would expect that you are getting your sound from your GPU card through your HDMI cable to your LED tv.
and the motherboard sound driver is responding and corrupting the graphics driver data.

finally had the time to tinker a bit with the PC.. I used my TV that has an HDMI connection and the BSoD stopped.. The main reason was I was using a VGA to DVI converter since my monitor only has VGA connection.. I think the DVI port on my graphics card is defective and the one causing the BSoD.. anyway thanks for the replies..
