i can get them both, the 980 is cheaper (about 25$) but it has no warrantly, next to the 580 rx that is few months old and has warrntly.. which should i get?

Solution
In DX 12 Radeons are generally better then NVidia cards, that's known fact. In DX 11 games, it would be 980 that's better, but like I wrote before, only slightly. Either way, both cards are good, so it's win-win situation. If warranty is important factor for you, then indeed going for 580 might sound better.

it wasnt mining for sure. its a friend of mine, hes buying 1080 gtx to upgrade..
do u still think 980 is better? how can it be.. i can buy new 980 in almost 70% of the price of RX 580 new (by the prices in israel, my country..)
i think i will go with the rx 580 and btw the 980 is cheaper in about 10$, i confused.. so they both in same price ..

That changes things a bit. 980 is slightly more powerful card then 580, but if the price difference is almost non-existing and you are 100% sure 580 was not used for mining, then warranty might be a important factor here. Is that 4 Gb or 8 Gb version of 580? If 8 Gb, it would be more future proof card. In the end, it also matters for how long you plan to use the card. If you think you will change the card to something more powerful in not-so-far future, then lack of warranty for 980 would be less important.

it is 8 gb limited edition.. i go with the rx 580.. i dont know why u say 980 is stronger i saw now benchmark on youtube and looks like 580 is slightly better.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2iAIW-VLYc
i dont know what the future is, but even if i upgrade in the not so far future, i need the warrantly to help me sell this card, espicialy that i can sell the card in more money than the 980..
