Best GPU brand (for GTX 1070/80)

Solution

And that's why with all this insane mining craze throwing GPU pricing all out of whack, I advise people contemplating a 1070 to just drop a little more on the 1080. Way more performance per dollar/pound/Euro than the 1070 at current prices.
EVGA has the best customer support, so based on that alone is why I always choose their GPUs (I had to RMA a GTX 970 which went bad and their RMA was a breeze and they cross-shipped a replacement so I got a replacement quick - not many vendors do that).

Any GPU can go bad, so there's really not one that is better than the other in the big picture. A few bad ones will always get out there and die early; it's just the nature of the beast in the tech world. With that said, here is my order of preference with the main vendor branded Nvidia GPUs:

EVGA
ASUS & MSI tie
Gigabyte
Zotac & PNY tie

Thanks for the reply !, I find the EVGA quite ugly (I realise its a stupid thing to base a pc build off but here we are), looking into the MSI and ASUS atm

Well like they always say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, heh. Then buy which is the best deal. They all perform close to each other, even in factory overclock form. Zotac has a history of using cheap fans that die prematurely. Maybe they fixed that with Pascal, but lots of people had complaints of dead fans with their GTX 9xx series GPUs.

Zotac isnt really really a brand im familiar with so I wouldnt consider it, I know MSI is good and ASUS, I could get the asus to match my mobo, all depends on prices at the moment, sometimes 1070 prices are only £50 off a 1080
