So I built a gaming pc back in Februaryof this year with these specs exactly:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z9f3TH

And I now want to sell it to start a new better build. I have no knowledge of how to calculate resale value of pc's and would love some estimates. And yes it does come with windows 10 pro already installed on it. Thank you for any help :)

Solution
You could still use an HDD, Case and OS, no? Technically you could also reuse the RAM, but you'd want faster speeds for Ryzen.

The GPU isn't going to net you much, maybe $100-$120
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&LH_ItemCondition=3000&_nkw=gtx%201050%20ti&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

$50-$60 for the RAM
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=gtx+1050+ti&LH_Complete=1&LH_ItemCondition=3000&LH_Sold=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC1.A0.H0.X2x4gb+ddr4+2400.TRS0&_nkw=2x4gb+ddr4+2400&_sacat=0

So you *could* potentially see the best part of $400 from those components, and still have a solid case, HDD and OS to work with moving forward.

Alternatively, you could sell it...

It's tough, as nobody is likely to build with an i5-6500 today, when Ryzen offerings and even the i5-7500 are cheaper.

So, it would cost ~$800 new to build it today, with a PSU that's not very good....
Add the fact that nobody is likely to pay much of a premium for the fact it's Windows 10 Pro...

I'd suggest you'd be lucky to get $450-$500 for the complete system.

Where you might come out a little better, would be parting it out. People may well be interested in a single component, but not it all.
For example:

The CPU appears to sell for $100-$130
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=i5-6500&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

The motherboard hasn't appeared to have sold recently, but fairly comparable boards look like you'd get ~$50
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=b250m+mortar&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xb250m+.TRS0&_nkw=b250m+&_sacat=0

The used 500W might get you $25
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=evga%20500W&_dcat=42017&rt=nc&LH_ItemCondition=3000&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

So, sell those 3 components, you've got about $170 - $205
AND, you've still got an HDD, Case, RAM, GPU and OS for your next build.

Alternatively, you could sell it all for the approx $450-$500 I estimated earlier, but the HDD, Case and OS are going to be worth much more to you than the extra $50-$100 you could potentially get.

Parting it might net you more money.

6500 is good but compared to Ryzen and upcoming 8xxx series it is lacking and thus loses value
Low end gpu, meh power supply, no SSD and only 8gb of ram.

Unless you find a sucker I would say $450-500 max is about the most you could expect.
