Sometimes my pc doesn't detect my internal HDD

How can i fix this issue? The only thing I've found that works is restarting the PC.

Here's a pic of what the icon looks like for my internal hardrive (labeled E drive) when it doesn't detect it.

Solution
I found the solution. Go to Power Options > Change Plan settings ( for the power plan you're using) > change advanced power settings > Hard Disk >Turn off hard disk after > set it to 0, so it never turns the hdd off

I have yet to encounter the issue since I made the adjustment to this setting.


Yes the data cable...although unplugging and re-plugging the power wont hurt either...it wouldn't be the first time something was flaky because the power cable needed to be reattached...
