Hello,

So I'm upgrading from r9 380 to gtx 1060 not sure which model yet and i'm on 1080p. What performance increase should I expect? Is it worth it? I'd like to be able to run games like Shadow Warrior 2 and some other demanding ones like BF1 on Ultra with smooth 60 frames per second. My r9 is nice but not good enough anymore, in a lot of modern games I have to turn details off or lower them like shadow, ambient occlusion, global illumination...

Thank you!

It's a good upgrade, seeing as the 380 is around 1050 Ti level of performance. The 2gb on the 380 is what's hurting you on settings, the 3gb plus Nvidia's memory compression tech on the 1060 will allow you to raise settings higher than the 380 allows, even though it's only 1gb of vram difference.

Assuming your CPU is up to the task.

I have an i5 3470, 8GB ram with win 7 64 bit. Do you think I'll be albe to run Shadow Warrior 2 on Ultra? Love that game but it's unplayable at high/ultra, I have to put it on medium/low as I remember.
