CPU-Z is in NO WAY a part of Hardware Monitor. They are both released by the same developer/company, but that is it.
Is Windows a part of Office or the other way around?. I know that may be pushing it, but lets be honest it gets the point across.

CPU-Z does NOT read temperatures in any way. So it is normal to not see any temperature information.
HWmonitor is made to do just what you are looking for.
Open Hardware Monitor may have issues with some systems(so many configurations, updates will most likely fix that). If you happen to run it off a network share it will also cause issues.
