Hi!

So a couple months ago I had a PC build with my cousin and he did most of it as my knowledge at the time was nonexistent, but now I know a lot more and want to unplug all of my cables.

Why? Because the cable management job was kind of poor and it is slowly becoming a dust magnet, which is affecting my temps. I just want to know if unplugging the cables while the computer is OFF, will affect anything(i.e I might have to reinstall something/ go into bios and redo something)

Thanks!

Specs:
AMD FX 6300
GTX 1050 TI
ASUS 970 Pro
A 1 TB HDD (WD BLACK)

Solution
Just turn pc off, then turn PSU off too and remove the power cable ( press the power button for several seconds after doing these) .. Everything is safe now

As long as you start as MO4D18 suggested, and you get the cables hooked back up to the same components, you should have no problems.
