Is the Ryzen 1500X a good option instead of the i5-7400?

I'm about to build a new pc and the Ryzen processor was recommended to me instead of intel's, which one do you think it's better for this rig and for what I need, and that's basically CS:GO, PUBG, Rocket League ...

Either the Ryzen 1500X or i5-7400
GTX 1060 3G

And would also like some help with the motherboard and RAM, idk which B350 to choose and how many MHz for the 8gb RAM.

1500X is a great processor, would recommend it over the 7400 for 99% of situations. The only problem is that if you really want 300fps in CSGO you're not going to get it yet, that game is well optimized for intel processors, not quite as much for AMD. You'll probably be sticking around 150-200fps depending on the map. If you're ok with that, then the 1500X is fine for PUBG, Rocket league, and most other games you'll throw at it.
