My cooler is a noctua dh-14 and i haven't even done any overclocking and im getting so far max 86 degrees while playing. can i make my fans run faster or do i need more? so far the only extra one im using is the case fan

Solution
Your Vcore is fine as is from what I could see from HWMonitor so do not touch it anymore at this point :)

As others in here has asked: How many case fans do you have as intake, and how many as exhaust?
If you by some odd reason dont have any intake fans, well that could be your problem since you are not pushing fresh air into the case to cool the hardware.

When it comes to your RAM speed its just not as simple as picking XMP and be done with it sadly :)
Make sure first of all that your memory is supported by you motherboard. Normaly not important but sometimes if your memory is not supported the XMP will not work as intended, and you will have to set every timing and speed manually :)

About CPU temps:
Boot up into windows and run a...
Do as chemmajorp53 sayd.

You see, intel does not set the volts but the motherboard manufacturer does, and they set the volts high just to make sure that every cpu that gets plugged into the socket will work.
By default most Z270 motherboards (I guess thats the mobo you have with that cpu) will run a Vcore at 1.408 and that is WAY to high for a stock cpu.

If this is the case go into your bios and swap the setting on CPU Vcore from auto to manual and set it to 1.250
Most 7700k`s will post on that Vcore. If you crash or cant get into windows dont panic :D
Just go back into bios and set the Vcore to 1.300

If this does not help at all when it comes to temps then you have a hardware problem like mdd1963 already sayd so no need for me to repeat it :D

Or you could have been one of the unlucky ones and gotten a bad 7700k chip but we can talk more about that if we cant get the temps down :) (cause then we will have to force it) :D

Yep about a pea size thermal paste in the middle also pubg is heavy on cpu but still with that heatsink. The fans are blowing towards the exit if that makes sense (how they came)

thats interesting ill try it tomorrow and give you a response... ive seen other people callinng 80 degrees on 7700k while gaming normal but with this heatsink it should be less i think :D thanks also i did overwatch and got max 70 degrees i think. pubg is very cpu heavy i guess

Have you enabled XMP? That should get your memory up to speed . Sorry, bad pun.

Small update i reapplied thermal paste and made sure every fan blew the right way and i idle at 35-40 degrees which in my mind is way to high when i have a noctua dh14 and the cpu isnt overclocked. How do i turn down vcore as people said. also look at the cpuid picture above

Do you have any fans mounted in the front of the case?

If not this could be a large part of your problem. CPU cooler may be pulling heated GPU air reducing effectiveness of cooler.

Cooler needs a supply of fresh cool air to do its job.

Vcore looks fine 1.184, what does vcore read while under load.

About CPU temps:
Boot up into windows and run a benchmark of some kind (prime, realbench, aida64, etc etc) and ofc have HWMonitor up and running so you can see your temps.
Now while the benchmark is running add pressure with your fingers on the noctua. Press STRAIGHT down towards your cpu and do not press sideways or something crazy like that :)
Dont go bananas with the pressure either, you dont have to break the motherboard.
If this does something to the temps in a positive way there is something wrong with either your thermal paste, or how you have mounted the noctua to the cpu.
You can also ofc try and just take the side panel of the case off and put a good table fan close to the computer and set it to full speed so it blows air at an angle towards your cpu fans. That way you are pretty sure the noctua are getting more than enough fresh air and you should / will see a difference in temps.
