Hello guys

recently I posted about my temps and I changed my thermal paste, I had up to 90C temps on load for my cpu and now after I used ZP thermal compound it didn't change not at all but like from up to 90 to up to 85 .. which is nothing to mention, I tried to change the thermal again ( after reading that too much isn't good cause I didn't know how much to use ) and still no difference, anyways, it started to happen that suddenly my laptop freezes and the fan of my CPU goes very fast then slow down and it takes like 5-10 secs for my laptop to respond again ( even the touchpad stops working ) the idle temp for my cpu is around 50-55C

would you please help, I have Alienware 18

Nvidia GTX 765M dual 4GBs
Core i7 4700MQ 2.40GHz
12GBs RAM

When did you start having this problem? Is this the fist time this has happened?
Have you checked your CPU voltage setting in the bios called vcore, try toning it down a bit and see if it helps if not try to do a clean install of windows.

Yup it's the first time this happens, I opened my laptop to clean the motherboard from the dust 4 days ago and ( had to open cpu heatsink to be able to take the motherboard out ) and after I put everything back together windows started lagging sometimes ( no gaming lag, just like before I open it )and it shows on windows rating ( detecting new hardware ) I dont know why, anyways I thought it's overheating so I changed thermal paste and now this started to happen

Thanks, I will try that once I can, but could it be that the screws of the CPU's heatsink is not assembled properly that is causing this? or I'd have different problem from what I described
