G4560 to Coffee Lake?

Hi all,

Currently I'm working on this build:

No proc yet
MSi B250M BAZOOKA
MSi GTX 1050TI GAMING X 4G
GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB Dual DDR4 2400
Western Digital WD Caviar Blue 2TB
No SSD yet
Seasonic S12II 620W PSU
MSi DS4200 Gaming KB
MSi DS B1 Interceptor Gaming Mouse
Fractal Design Arc Mini R2
No monitor yet

I'm thinking of buying Pentium G4560 although a little overpriced right now compared before, but its still good. Then, i'll use it for like 2 years or so and also update my BIOS so my mobo will be able to handle Coffee Lake in the future.

What do you think? Will I encounter any compatibility issue?

yeah no it has been confirmed you need a 300 series chipset for coffee lake. 200 series will not work so you are at a dead end with that motherboard. Only CPUs out now in 6000 or 7000 series will work.

I might be wrong but I dont think the socket has been announced for coffee lake yet, so it may not fit in that mobo
