Heya!

So, my computer has been running fine for at least 3,5 years (if not longer, dont know for sure) I have always been careful with it and made sure to clean it from malicious software and update all drivers etc. Also the inside of the machine has ben cleaned out at least twice a year.
Lately i had been having these crashes that just made my screen go nuts and bug (not a distortion of the game i was currently playing or the video i was watching, just something dark and buggy) along with really disturbing noises that would kick in about 3 seconds after the screen bugged.
This happens whenever i play a game, watch a video, or anything. Just random. I have always been able to just boot back up like nothing happened. I went on a trip like 4 days ago and my PC was completely off and hasnt ben touched for 4 days.

When i came back It wasnt working. (i am not sure, but i think it might have also bugged the night before I left, and I was just like nah ill deal with that later) The computer is now trying to boot up up, but doesn't activate any peripherals and doesnt seem to go full cycle (even though i cant see whats going on on screen) But everything is spinning and stays that way untill i shut down the power, even the GPU spins! I didnt know what part of the machine the problem was related to at first so i went troubleshooting.

I first checked my cpu socket to see if any pins were bent, which they were not. Reapplied the thermal paste and reseated the ram. I plugged in my internal speaker to look for beep codes, but there were none. Then i took out my gpu and booted up the machine. This time it worked! I switched my cables to the internal GPU and the whole pc just booted up. I had already tried clearing CMOS and bios at this point, aswell as booting up with just one stick of ram. I also seated my gpu into another pcie slot, which yielded no success. I then flipped the dual bios switch on my GPU to see if that would have any impact. And yes, i plugged it back in and the pc worked again.

I was thinking maybe a corrupted bios and thought i was fine (stupid lazy me) So kept on playing games untill yet another crash. Now the switch doesnt help anything anymore and my pc will not boot up whenever the GPU is installed. I would like to know if anyone can provide any help for me on this problem. Is it definitely the GPU? or can it be the psu?

Many thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Greetings,

Joran
