RAM timings question

The lower Cl of 12 is better. you will notice lower total active times, and lower latencies listed in the spec sheets as a result.

As DDR4 has matured it has enjoyed increases speeds and falling latencies. the original DDR4 launch with the X99 platform enjoyed faster transfers and greater bandwidth, but it did have higher timings than the previous DDR3 modules. Since the earliest DDR4 modules to now it is common to see the same speeds at lower latencies. I did a build on a I7-7700k for a friend and I was curious myself because i was seeing the same thing: 2 modules, similar price, same speed one with lower latency.

My motherboard is a H270 chip with i5 6600 DDR4 2133 MHZ max support so I want to get the lowest latency possible an the price difference between the two are a few bucks
