Good morning, yesterday I did a fresh install of windows 7 on my computer.

After going to website to install drivers and such, I noticed a few things.

Somehow, my overclock was gone and my idle temps went through the roof.

My overclock was nothing special, i7 2600k running at 4.5 with something like 1.280 vcore.

Now, this morning the overclock was gone, vcore was through the roof and temps were really high (Around 38 idle with a noctua fan)

I'm guessing it's the vcore that's acting up, he reached 1.4 idle at some point. But I also saw at some people had better temps after installing the latest bios.

Can a fresh windows install clear the bios that was used or are those two not linked?

Rest of setup;
i7 2600k @ 4.5
Asus P8p67 LE
16 gig ram Kingston
GTX 770

I'll do that later today, but I hardly see how a fresh install would somehow get my temps higher.
