Hello, I've had this problem for a while now. i recently switched out my psu because my pc didnt turn on again when i turned it off i had to wait for a while before it would start. now i have more trouble. pc turns off (especially when i'm playing games) and then on again by itself. i've been reading on alot of forums but i cant seem to find a proper answer. some say its RAM others says its the psu again.

My specs are:
Prosessor: Intel Core i5-4690K

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G55
Graphics card: Gigabyte GeForce G1 GAMING GTX 970 4GB
SSD: Crucial M550 128GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda® 2TB
Case: Corsair Obsidian 650D
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 8GB

Solution

The cable from the wall to the psu. didnt seem to be damaged or broken. Changed it just to be 100% sure that i've tried everything. seems to work fine now, weird.

anyways, thanks for the help :)

It's a Corsair RM750X. I can also add that the pc turns off when there is a caotic situation ingame. Like many players firing guns at the same time. I dont know if it has anything to do with it.

You're probably at the point where you are going to have to start isolating devices. A faulty device could be at fault. HDD, gfx card, etc. The PSU is new, good quality and would kind of be eliminated I think. Since you say it seems to happen when there is lots of CPU demand, I would start with watching what the CPU core temps are when the server gets busy and the action gets heavy. But the fact that you had a different but related issue to begin with, kinda has me thinking something else is at fault.

Does this happen at any other time; like when you are not gaming?
Does this happen with only one game/server?

There was a similar problem awhile back a user had. Oddly enough, it turned out he had an unneeded standoff behind the motherboard, and it would occasionally ground out the system... causing shut downs. You don't have an errant loose screw rolling around in the case somewhere do you?

This does happen while playing any game. It occasioally happens when i dont even use the pc, this happens everytime i play H1Z1/CS/PUBG though. there is no screw or something rolling around in the case. i've checked the temps with HWmonitor. they are stabile, so i have no clue.

Edit: I noticed that the gpu fan's are speeding up when i launch and play games. so i opened HWmonitor to check temps. the temp is at 66º C (150.8º F). I dont know if this is normal temp or extremely high. the temp rises to 72º max then drops again.

Those are normal GPU temps. And really not bad at all.
I've never heard of a virus shutting down/restarting a PC, but have you updated your virus signatures and run a FULL scan recently? Same goes for Malware.
After that, it is going to be a matter of replacing more parts. I start with the RAM, drives, gfx card, and finally the motherboard itself. Some item may be ground faulting and causing a reboot/shutdown.

i have an older pc that i can troubleshoot with. that pc works perfectly and i could just switch out part for part until i find the faulty part.

So i reinstalled windows and such just for the hell of it. the pc holds up a bit better than before, but it still has the same problems. i will beggin the troubleshooting tomorrow.
