AM3+ CPU, that pairs well with the GTX 1050Ti

So,
I've gotten my hands on a GTX 1050Ti this july and wanted to get into gaming. The problem although is, that my CPU is rather old and can't squeeze out all of the GTX 1050Ti's capabilities. I get quite the bottleneck in some games.
My motherboard (msi 970 gaming) has an AM3+ socket for CPUs, so Intel wouldn't really work. I don't really have the money to buy a new motherboard and CPU, so I wanted to ask you guys if you know any good AM3+ CPUs, that pair well with my GTX 1050Ti.

msi 970 gaming motherboard
AMD Fx-4300 clocked @4.14 Ghz
8gb DDR3 ram (1x8 Ripjaw)
Zotac GTX 1050Ti
Windows 10 64bit

Unfortunately, options on AM3+ are either not very good, or not cheap enough to justify the cost.

Looks like a used FX8350 can be had for around ~$50 with the stock cooler..... which would be a pretty decent upgrade.
It's not going to be a powerhouse by any means, but for a $50 upgrade, you should see substantial performance improvements.

So I guess the better solution would be to upgrade to a B250M Motherboard, a G4600 such as DDR4 ram?
