I installed a new motherboard B250M Pro-VD and CPU Intel Core i5-7400 into my pc, but somehow it just won't power on. I went ahead to put my previous motherboard back in and checked to see if the problem lied within other component parts. Luckily, my pc turned on as usual the way it has always been. From that, I concluded it had to do with the new motherboard or maybe I didn't install it correctly. There wasn't a beep sound or green light blinking and I have connected all the cables properly and tightly. What could possibly be the problem? I ordered the same B250M Pro-VD motherboard and right now it turned out with the same result. Please help me find the issue because I really have no clue at the moment.

My current computer spec:
Intel Core i3-4150
Asrock H97M Anniversary
MSI R9 280x
Avexir Core DDR3 2x4gb 1600
seasonic m12ii evo 620w

And I'm upgrading the CPU, motherboard, and ram with:
Intel Core i5-7400
MSI B250M pro-vd
Corsair vengeance

Since it's a modular PSU, according to the manufacturer there is a 1 x 8-pin CPU connector. It should be labeled as CPU1, CPU2 or so. Make sure your are connecting the right connector though any other connector should not fit in it (just like a jigsaw puzzle).

Also you can plug in just 1x4-pin connector and your PC should power on. The other 4-pins are used for overclocking.

Everything here is compatible, so you probably connected it wrong...you might of connected a pin wrong which can result in your computer not turning on properly, your manual for your motherboard can help you locate where to connect the pins so you dont have problems.

Troubleshoot the RAM by installing only one module and switching it into different slots if it fails to post.
Make sure the front panel wires are connected in the right order. Refer to your motherboard manual.

I noticed there is a 8-pin ATX 12V power socket on the new motherboard, whereas on my old mobo, it had a 4-pin ATX 12V power connector. How do I connect the power to the cpu in this situation?

I took the Mobo out and tested it and still no success. I connected all the cables tightly except the front panel ones which I decided to jumpstart the pc with a screwdriver and heard electric static noise go through the psu but still nothing.
