My laptop has a intel i7- 3720QM 2.6ghz processor and it says its capable of being turbo boosted to 3.6ghz. If i turbo boost my processor will it really make a difference in games and streaming? If it does how do i go about turbo boosting my cpu?

Sorry for the noob question im still learning

Most laptops will not allow overclocking in any way.

It's likely that the GPU is so weak in an Ivy Bridge era laptop that it will not make a difference. The CPUs of that gen were quite strong; the graphics cards not so much.

The gpu in my laptop is the radeon 7570m

Since you have a laptop, no don't overclock for several reasons:

1. It could easily make your components overheat.
2. You'll barely get 5% more performance out of your overclock.
3. Nearly all CPUs and most modern mobile GPUs are locked anyways.

The only time you should overclock a laptop are the high end notebooks that are designed from the beginning with overclocking in mind.
