Hi folks!

Currently using the following:

Intel I7-2600K 3.4GHz @ 4.2GHz
MSI Z68A-G43 (Sandy Bridge)
GeForce GTX760 (2GB)
32GB DDR3
2TB - SATAIII 7200rpm

I know my storage is slow, so I'll move to a SATA III-based SSD. I'd love a M.2 SSD, but that requires a new platform. In looking at the guides, it seems that my mobo+CPU combination is decent for 1080p gaming. I'm thinking my GPU is probably the glaring issue. It seems that many GPUs are out of stock due to blockchain miners, but I do see a 3GB GTX 1060 for a decent deal ($219). Is that a worthwhile upgrade before moving to an all-new platform this time next year?

Thanks!

Your CPU is still quite good for gaming and should be for another few years. I would focus on a GPU upgrade. While not a fan of the GTX 1060 3GB due to many 1080P games using more then 4GB of VRAM, it would still be a solid upgrade. If you can wait to find a GTX 1060 6GB...I would encourage you to do so or go higher with GTX 1070.

right now i would look into a used gpu rather than new something along the lines of a gtx 970 or 980 as it would give you the most performance for your buck while getting around the miners problem
