Ryzen upgrade path (1400 to 1600)

Hello, I am wondering if it makes sense to upgrade from a ryzen R5 1400, to 1600 (or x). I do gaming and content creation on my rig (video and photo editing). So is it a good idea to upgrade to a 1600 or to save my money for a 1700 or 1800? I love my 1400 but it is a bit limited when it comes to recording games at 1080p 60. Thank you for any answers.

Cpu: Ryzen R5 1400
Gpu: Gtx 1070 turbo
Mb: Asrock A320m DGS
Ram: 8gb ddr4 2133
Psu: 750 watt

Your main problem is that you didn't pick an MB that is possible to overclock on. 1600 would bring you 2 more cores and 4 more threads so for multi thread applications would definitely be better, simple and older games not so much. To get your money's worth, you rally need better MB for 1600x, 1700 or 1800 processors. Faster RAM would also be welcome as Ryzen really likes fast memory.
