Would a GTX 1050ti be enough for animation? (3D Max, zbrush, Maya)

So, i have a Friend who is going to study Animation and she wants to upgrade her GPU, she wants to buy a GTX 1050ti, will it be enough to animate on 3D Max, zbrush and Maya?
(Her PC has a Core i5 6500, and 16GB of RAM)

It will be enough. Although for serious work she might want to consider a workstation card, like a Quadro of some kind. Those cards put out much better image quality than the regular consumer cards like the 1050 Ti. Gaming cards sacrifice image quality for performance. This is a moot point however if she has a cheap monitor.
