can we really buy AMD GPUs

in these few years i have been learning about pc and now i am proud of my knowledge and i can build my new gaming pc i am an amd fanboy and i am going with ryzen 5 1600 for cpu and i well get 600w psu 8g ddr4(for now) but for graphics i really want an amd gpu but i think that is just impossible prices are crazy an miners well kill the GPUs is there any way to buy an AMD gpu for a real price

Hopefully the ethereum market crashes long before then so people who actually want to buy these GPUs for their intended purpose can do so again without being ripped off.

Such extreme demand for GPUs for an extended period of time is bad for all of us too. Once manufacturers get used to selling as many GPUs as they can make at inflated prices they may not want to drop back down to their old prices when all of this is over.

Edit: On the other hand, the used GPU market is going to be flooded with people trying to unload them to get some of their investment back when this is over.. That might be enough to force the manufacturers to lower the prices.

Unfortunately most AMD GPUs aren't even in stock and the ones that are available are grossly overpriced. If you insist on AMD your only options are to wait for mining to become unprofitable again or significantly overpay.

Prices are bad for Nvidia right now too even though they aren't as bad as AMD. The 6GB 1060 is selling for about $70 more than it used to, the 3GB 1060 is selling for about the price the 6GB model used to go for, and the 1070 is selling for almost as much as a 1080.

On the Nvidia side the only gaming GPUs that haven't been affected are the lower end 1050 and 1050 Ti, and the high end 1080 and 1080 Ti. All the people who want something in the middle from either Nvidia or AMD are out of luck right now. It's a terrible time to be in the market for a new, mid-range build.

i know its a bad time for bilding a pc i will wait for winter or even next year
