Ok so I opened up my PC because I was planning on changing PC cases. I see my wifi adapter has a white cable and a black cable connected to it. The black cable goes to the back of the computer and it doesn't seem to be connected to any port. It just seems to be connected to some metal. The white cable just goes to the front of the case. I can't see where. How do I take these out so I can move it on my other case?

Be aware that the two antennas are usually mounted at 90 degrees to each other. That way if one antenna is perpendicular to the router's antenna (and thus gets no signal), the other antenna usually is not and will get signal.

It is possible to use the WiFi card with a single antenna. You will just get a weaker signal with the computer in certain orientations relative to the router.

Also, the places the antennas are mounted are usually outside the metal casing of the computer, usually under decorative bits of plastic. If you mount the antennas inside the metal case of the new PC, the case will act as a Faraday cage and block most of the WiFi signal.

Thanks! By the way, here is a picture of my motherboard: https://ibb.co/nCmy45 . Can you recommend me a good cheap wifi card from amazon.ca (not .com) that will fit the slot and the rear panel slot?

Thanks.

Thanks. I will just get a PCIE x1 Wifi Card because there is not much information to Mini PCIE cards for desktop.
