I am almost done with my build no HDD installed. I powered on the MOBO and CPU to make sure all is well and went to the UEFI and was looking at the idle temp @ 50* and updated BIOS to current. Is that a normal idle with liquid cooler?

ASRock z270M Pro4
intel I5 7600k
cooler master masterliquid pro 120 cooler
DEEPCOOL TESSERACT SW Mid Tower Computer Case

Solution
Idle temp of 50 when in bios is about normal (a little high) but there are contributing factors. Airflow, installation of the cooler (user error and/or loose pump) etc.
In bios, the pc isn't at idle, it's in a constant load capacity. It won't be until windows gets loaded, and the pc is moved out of full power readiness that things will calm down. Windows has eco settings low power requirements etc that bios does not engage, it's a load somewhat equivalent to a moderate gaming load.

So yeah, 45-50 is normal. I run 22 ambient and still see 44/45 in bios with a 4.6GHz OC and 1.114v vcore with a 280mm nzxt Kraken X61. Idle in Windows is 32.

There was plastic on the cooler that I took off but no factory paste installed. I should take off the cooler and reapply the paste again?

How many fans in the case as intake and exhaust? what kind of fans? and rpm?

Blower style or open air GPU and what kind?

Are you 100% the pump is running? if yes, what speed is the pump running at? And at what speed is the radiator fans running at?

Ambient temprature in the room?

Hang on... did not notice it before Supahos pointed it out.... Dont tell us you dont have any thermal paste applied?????

1 fan in front for intake will put a side cover fan in but i had the side cover off when tested. 2 fans for exhaust top and back stock cooler fans and case fans. More fans to follow. I am using the onboard graphics right now to test. Pump is running at 8800rpm and rad fan is about 1420. Temp in room is about 75. I can send pics of the UEFI with all info of speeds if i could find out how on here.

Can i do any testing without HDD in BIOS like memtest or anything before i continue on to see how well this setup performs under pressure?

Not really. You can memtest, but all you'll get is a pass or fail. You really can't test 'under pressure' until there's something to 'pressure' the pc. This means getting windows loaded, running cpu stress tests, running linpack, running RealBench etc.

Be kinda like testing a sportscar by revving the engine while it's still in Park. You won't know what it'll do until you put it in gear and stomp on the gas.
