So i'm completely blind when it comes to SSD's i really do not know what to look for. All i know is there is a cheap new 250gb 850evo for sale and i was looking for an ssd as a boot drive for a while now. I need to know will my current motherboard the asus M5A78L-M/USB3 accept the 850evo and will there be any problems with me running one?

Also a little side question i'm running fx6300 and gtx 1060 3gb and i noticed in most games the gpu only runs at about 45-60% power. while the cpu runs at around 60% to me it seems like the games i run cannot use all the cores of my cpu therefore my gpu is moderatly bottlenecked. Is what I'm thinking true or could there be another reason for this ?

That would be what I'd expect out of a 6300 with a 1060 in most cases. One thread will load up on the 6300 and that's all the performance you can get.

No reason the SSD won't work as long as it's a sata SSD not a m2
