A friend of mine has a 970 and instead of getting a good psu he got a adapter for the 8 pin.

So psu 8pin to adapter witch made the 8pin dule 8pin and plugged that into his gpu and he tried playing csgo and had artifacts and went blank after this he call me and asked what was up I told him he probably killed his gpu form lack of proper power I went and tested the gpu in my pc and got no display after the test I put my gpu back in and now my pc won't do a display no matter what gpu I use even after bios flash and what not.

The gigabyte board has dual bios so if it boot loops a certain amount of time it will try to switch or recovery bios. for the fx computer unplug it for 30mins with the cmos out to and see what happens

Ok 1st what the brand of the psu is it? And the gpu shouldn't damage because of lack of power. the performance would go down really really down and you will start noticing artifacts. The thing that not wise is the 8 pin especially the ones with the wrong wire gauge because 6 to 8 that is a lot of current though that wire. check the adapter and see if it melted or shorted If it melted then it may of shorted and blow the psu fuse if it well protected circuitry, If it not melted and I hope the power supply not the 12 dollar special then something went wrong with the psu or it melted and the computer power on but not display even with the other card then the protection circuitry failed and may of danged more than the gpu.

So when you take that card out of your pc now it does't work? or it just when you put it in?

Ok something really bad happen to that card I don't think it a psu issue anymore since it killed 3 computers with different power supply I don't think it was a 8 pin issue because if that was the issue the card will be only dead and shouldn't affect any computer when tested. This is a short issues with in the card. And since it took out 3 computers those motherboards may need to be replaced now.

New thing after letting the computers sit for about 5h the lga1151 works now with the 1050 and the fx one works with the rx460 but the fx one keeps boot looping it will say gigabyte then say something about second bios then loop again. I tried cmos and battery but it's still doing that
