I bought a 7200 rpm harddrive. This is not my boot drive. About 2 weeks old. It holds my games mostly. Ive noticed that it takes a few seconds longer to get loaded into a game. Of course this is nothing to me but its a new harddrive and it already noticably slowing down. I tested its speed currently and compared it to what the manufacuter says and my own when i first got it and there barely any ups or down. Im not crazy, my games take seconds longee to load in. But if the speeds the same, is there another way i can test my harddrive?

Many large capacity HDDs(3TB+) tends to slow down with time as they are filled to their capacity(say 75% or more).Just run some hdd benchmark software like crystaldiskmark & compare the values with review of your hdd model on sites like anadtech etc.A decrease of ~15% is alright I think.Just for precaution run also crystaldiskinfo & check all SMART values are good.
