I recently bought a GTX 970 Strix off eBay to put in SLI with my current GTX 970.
Before doing this though, I wanted to make sure it was working completely so I swapped it out with my current graphics card and tried it out by playing Overwatch on the settings I usually would.
When I started the game up and was in the title screen even, I heard the fans spin up and got this

Here's what CAM told me:

I then changed back to my own graphics card (also a GTX 970 Strix) and found this:

I lodged a refund request, but the person said "This card runs fine they do run hot anyway nothing wrong with it as listing says no returns".
And "I fully tested this card in my PC as I used it and had no issue at all my system has never locked up or had heat issues and the cards not that old and would still be covered by Asus warranty however it's not faulty"
As you can imagine my attempt at playing GTA V did not go well.
What's the best course of action?
