Processor: Intel Devils Canyon i7 4.0 GHz
RAM: XMS3 2x8GB DDR3
Motherboard: RoG Maximus VII Ranger
Graphics card: MSI GTX 970 Superclocked 4GB
Operating System: Windows 10
I have recently returned from a 2 and a half weeks Holiday and it randomly freezes and crashes through any activity. It can do it anywhere between 5 minutes and an hour. I have tried a lot of things already linking to what it might be, I have switched around the RAM placements on the motherboard and currently only running one Stick of RAM has let me boot.
Before I left for Holiday, I was using my computer intensively with not a single issue. I have been animating and playing Dishonoured 2 up until the day I left for Holiday without a hitch. When I get back, it crashes randomly, even when using Google Chrome.
I have changed a few RAM settings to default in the BIOS and it is still doing it, and I have one thing left to try, and that is update the bios.
When it crashes and I restart, it comes up with the error message, "Overclocking failed." I haven't overclocked anything in a very long time and my PC is mostly running stock settings?
