can i combine & use vengeance led (3200 2* 8 GB cas 16) and trident z rgb (3200 2*16 GB 14 cas)

I have vengeance led 3200 (2* 8 GB with cas 16) and trident z rgb (3200 2*16 GB 14 cas), mb - ASUS ix Maximus, can i use both the ram on it. will this combination work or will give problem.

The standard response to this kind of question is that mixing RAM sets is hit and miss.

The other response I frequently see is that it is best to try and match different sets as closely as possible (for the best chance at success).

If you have both sets of RAM already, then you can try it. I certainly wouldn't go and buy different sets hoping that it would work.

You could also sell one set and buy something more matchey.
