Hi, I currently have the TP-LINK USB for connecting to WiFi, which gets me 14mb/s download speed on a speed test but only 1.9mb/s on Steam. If I switch to a TP Link dual band wireless adapter with three antennas will my internet run faster? Thanks for the help.

Unknown. Your internet speed is determined by the speed you pay for from your ISP, your router and your PC. You are only describing, and proposing changing one of those three things. You haven't provided any info about the other two.

The best way to determine what you maximum internet speed can be is to use a wired connection to your router.

Your "1.9mb/s" is probably 1.9mB/s -- MegaBYTES. That would be about 14Mbit ...

14 megabits/sec on speedtest and 1.9megabytes/sec on Steam is exactly normal and expected.
Approx 8:1 ratio.
