The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred

Hello,

I just build a new PC and the first days I could play but now when I start a game it freezes the game and I have to kill it. The error is:

GPU-Z: http://imgur.com/a/dwmig

My system:
ASUS B350 PLUS (latest bios)
AMD RYZEN 5 1600
SEASONIC BRONZE M12II 520w
SSD 850 EVO 500GB
CORSAIR VENGENACE LPX 2X4GB DDR4 3000MHZ
MSI GeForce 1050 Ti 4GT OC

I use Windows 10, tried the usual, DDU with latest and old drivers, downlock 100 Mhz the GPU...

Any ideas?

Solution

Yeah might be possible.A compatibility issue. Actually every location's Map first loads into RAM so that the processor access the map in the RAM and display it on the screen by populating the pixels.I am talking about the GPU. So either its a problem of RAM as it is not working correctly or the graphic card which is not populating the screen correctly. Change the ram,use a simple one to check whether this is the problem or not. If it is then you probably solved it mate. If it isnt, then comment here. I seriously hope that your problem gets solved.

Test run it on another system, unplug the card, plug it in the system of some friend of yours, if the problem is still there then most probably your graphic card hardware is not okay. Please claim the warranty. As far as i know, this problem can arise due to smaller size of Ram , but the ram is ok or due to less memory of graphic card that hinders the population of pixels on a higher resolution , this rules out too because the memory of 1050 ti is 4 gb. So if you updated the drivers for the graphic card, kindly roll back. Use drivers that were inside the package of graphic card. If the problem still persists, then its obviously a hardware fault as the card is unable to use its complete frame buffer. We cant put the blame on poor memory management of windows.

I RMA and the new graphic card has the same problem. I honestly don't know what it is. Is it a PSU? How can I know if there is enough power or my PSU is faulty?

The game will start flickering when ultra graphics are activated. The pc may shutdown or the display will shutdown for a while.. Thats how you will know about the power consumption

Did you checked it on another system? Which game are you running? does it happen in a specific game or every game?
