Ok so I was wondering if anyone could help me out a tad bit with my first ever pc build. I'm having trouble picking out what CPU to use, in order to use the motherboard which I have already purchased. Pc partpicker said that for most CPUs I would need a Bios update. But I have no clue what that is please help! https://pcpartpicker.com/user/WKeegan/saved/Znv6XL
That is the parts I've been looking at. I only have the motherboard and ram.

Solution
i5-4670 Haswell

"Haswell Refresh" products need a higher than original BIOS version.

Built on "Haswell" architecture, "Haswell Refresh" products do not have any new microarchitecture and power optimizations compared to previous year's products, and their only advantage will be slightly increased clock speeds. According to known specifications, many "Haswell Refresh" CPUs are clocked 100 MHz higher than the Haswell 2013 lineup, which will result in up to 2% - 5% better performance, much smaller than in the past.
