My CPU normaly avareges around 25-27* C while idle in combined CPU temp but recently it has gone up to 39-40 btw this is over a matter of a few days. I've had this setup for a year now and it seems a bit early for something to fail right? My computer is not that dusty and and i checked the task manager and its at 12-15% usage but still the activity is not anything unusual its the regular stuff. The CPU fan is akasa unknown model to me its fan speed while idle is around 950 rpm( the same as before) i just wonder why? i dont know what all of this means, i will Wright back if there is anything else that anyone would like to know to further explain this and issue solving

Corsair 200r midi tower

Intel core i7 6700 3.4ghz no oc capabiliaty
Msi bazooka b150m regular version (atx)
Corsair vs550 watt

Msi Gaming x gtx 1060 6gb vram
(4gbx2) crucial ram

Sorry poor spell and and grammar and stuff

I presume you are using the stock Intel cooler with pre-applied thermal paste?

Either way, 40C idle is nothing to worry about. It's your load temps that you should be concerned with.

*Btw, looking at my i7-7700K idle usage is 1-4% even with 4 tabs open in Chrome, 6 tabs open in FireFox, MS word open, notepad open, HWMonitor64 running, Steam running in the background, and Origin running in the background. So I'm not sure why you would be at 15% usage idle.
