Audio not coming out through HDMI to TV

I completed my new PC build just yesterday. As I was messing around with it I discovered the Audio is not playing through my TV (which is being used as a monitor through HDMI). I have checked the HDMI connection between my GTX 1080 and my Toshiba TV, seems to be okay. I am sure my NVIDIA audio drivers are installed and up to date. I'm not very sure if this can be a hardware issue (motherboard connections) or a software failure. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it very much. Thank you all so much. Here is my PCP build:

have you right clicked the audio symbol in the bottom right of your task bar(probably next to the time/date) and clicked "playback devices" and changed over to the tv, and hit apply?

Agreed. Probably just need to switch it over. Windows allows you to switch to different audio devices which onboard motherboard audio is on first by default. If you want gpu audio need to enable/make default in audio playback as mentioned above.
