Hello, When I play games, after a few minutes or up to few hours they crash to desktop and recently after the crash my pc gets slow in sharp bursts and the mouse freezes for 1 or 2 secs, sometimes I hear a concerning dotting noise or an almost plopping noise and I have no idea what is the issue.
My specs are:
Intel core i5 4460
gtx 660
SSD 500gb
750w psu
RAM 16gb
Both my processor and ssd are quite new, however my graphics card and psu are old.
I experience this with most games such as; Shadow warrior, Dying light, both can last for a good 2 hours before freezing and crashing to desktop. I get good fps aswell.
oddly Wolfenstein the new order played soundly with no issues.
the actual crash is just a freeze however each one may be different, I've gotten white screens, black screens, no noise, horrible noises ect.
My video card drivers and windows are updated, the temp when the crash occurs depends but is not at dangerous level (around 60 degrees about)
Any help would be much appreciated, ill happily give any info if needed.
