Gigabyte r9 380
Seasonic M12 620W
4GB x 2 HyperX
AMD Athlon II x4 640 Processor 3 GHz
ASUStek (forgot the model. I have this since 2010)

I have a budget of $300 - $400. I need advice on what motherboard and CPU to get.

Is it better than the AMD Vishera FX-8370E 3.30GHz (4.30GHz Turbo) 8-Core Processor? It has 2 more cores, up to 4.3GHz and has lower price.

It's only 50% faster single core and a bit over 100% multi core

No fx processor made any sense in a build.after like 2013
