I have a server running OpenMediaVault and i need to connect it to 2 different routers (Asus ac68u and zyxel VSG1432-B101 is only 100mbs which has slow file transfers over the network) but i only have one Ethernet port on the computer.

P.S. I cannot add any type of PCI card

Solution
Just run your asus as a AP. You now only have a single router and still can use the wifi and gigabit ports on the asus. The only purpose of the "router" part of the box is to share the internet IP and you do not need that on the asus.

The other option would be to run the zylex as only a modem and disable the routing ability. You would want to place into bridge mode but dsl ones are tricky because you many time then must run PPPOE on the wan port of your asus.

I would use the AP method since it is simpler.
It mostly depends why you need to connect to 2 routers and what restrictions there are on changing and connecting the routers.

The easist way is to connect the 2 routers together via their lan ports and assign ip address to the routers like 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2. Your computer should be able to then talk to either and can be plugged into either. There are other complexities depending on your requirements as to why you need 2 routers.

Well my isp requires us to use the zyxel router as a modem and i have to plug my server into it to access it outside of my home network I have my asus router plugged into it and i am using it as the home router because it is significantly faster i would like to be able to connect my server to both routers so that i can use the speed advantage of the asus router at home but still be able to access it outside of my network

I personally prefer running modem in modem only mode when at all possible.

The asus is going to have much better nat throughput then the modem/router combo and thus you will have less latency in this configuration.
Some modems (like at&t uverse ones) provide you no option but to set it up to put your router in DMZ mode to bypass NAT. This is still better than having ASUS as AP, but still requires more processing on ISP modem/router then just having wan/lan port bridged like "modem only" mode does.
