Hello everyone.

I have Xiaomi MI 4 flashed with multiboot ROM. I tried to flash a custom rom to a pendrive via OTG.
Finally it was successful but the process was painfully slow. To boot from pendrive it took about 10 times the normal boot time.

The micro-USB port in my phone can achieve transfer rates upto 40 MB/s. Maybe even more.

So I need a pendrive with micro-USB that can reach that speed. Can you please suggest some?

Are you going to order it online or buy where you live? Your best course of action is to look up each product and check for real benchmarks and after that decide what to buy. http://usb.userbenchmark.com/

Keep in mind that often pendrives specify Read Speed and Write Speed differently. From your post it seems that your phone will be loading rom from pendive so you need to check pendrives Read Speed.

Also, you dont necessary need a micro-USB pendrive. You can use OTG adapter just make sure that the adapter makes full use of your phone USB port - if your phone have USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 port then buy USB 3.X OTG adapter and compatible pendrive.

Probably I'll buy online. There are also chances that I may buy one from a nearby store.

Most benchmarks are for USB 3.0 or 3.1 pendrives. I need a USB 2.0 one. Yeah I can use USB to micro-USB but it'd look kinda awkward.

Anyway, I'll do an analysis of that list.

It would be helpful if anyone tried such procedure and suggests which pendrive was good at it.
