My MSI R9290 Hawaii was running fine all year long. Mind you, I don't play games on daily basis, so I don't abuse the card at all. Maybe once or twice a month. Today, my PC shut off by itself, and when i turned it back on, a "Your GPU temp is really high" notification popped up. I installed MSI afterburner, and the temp was 94 while the fan speed was at 100%. I lowered the clock speeds to the min 485MHz core clock and 625MHz Memory clock. Now its running on 85 degrees with 100% fan speed. Any suggestions, or should I throw it in the garbage and go for any NVIDIA 10xx card?
