if its the little small pcie ones im not to bothered but as long as i can use both red ones in future im fine with that

well hope it'll fit perfectly, but the gap might be too narrow, i personally won't recommend it unless the space between it are pretty big
2 cards that are too near are pretty bad for temps problem  (unless u're going the liquid cooling path)
also, SLI aren't a stable tech yet, some games will perform better with it, some games will gain no benefit from it, some will perform even worse with it, i rather stay with a single GPU :v

I dont plan on doing sli anyway till its more stable hence why im just getting a 1080ti from asus in replace of my current 1070 from asus

then u should be fine :D
although keep in mind what i tell u about the gap between the GPU

i will probably be upgraded cpu and motherboard wise before i plan on sli anyway

yeah i can see that plan right before u said it :v, i mean, u can change ur GPU at ease (and here i am, barely managed to bought a 1050ti...) don't think upgrading mobo and CPU would be a problem for u..

to be completely honest the only reason im getting a 1080ti is for 4k gaming since my 1070 struggles with it abit

of course it will mate, 1070 are known as 1440p GPU, not a 4k GPU... it will struggle if u put it on 4k@high (playable, but it'll struggle)
if it's in my case, it will require me to sell my kidney before i can afford that whole set up :p (i had a 1366x768 monitor, and it's a borrowed monitor, so for me, 4k is such a far-fledged dream :v)

i only upgraded to a 4k monitor recently just for some of the new games coming out aka shadow of war and assassins creed origins ect but atm im in the sticky situation of deciding between an asus 1080ti and a evga 1080ti

go with the model u prefer, performance between the same GPU are pretty narrow, so u won't see too much difference
