After playing xcom 2 (a game) for 3-4 hours straight I went to the bathroom and heard a very loud noise from the pc room, the sound suggested keyboard or chair fell but when I arrived in the room my pc had turned off and there was a burn smell in the air. I could not figure out where the smell was comming from as it dissipated quickly. After reinstalling the cpu cooler and replugging all cables I turned on the pc and it got an error message: Overclocking failed: Press F1 to enter SETUP. I neved did any overclocking on my cpu and never changed anything in BIOS other than boot priority. After that message i restarted the pc and it worked fine for 8 hours that i spent updating all drivers and searching something similar to this problem.

BIOS detected every hardware correctly. I changed windows 10 version two days ago from pro to home and since it kept some files i thought all drivers were update but they were not so I updated them yesterday after the error. I changed the BIOS configuration from performance to power saving. I am looking for information on how to prevent this from hapenning again.
