Need some help on upgrading

At the moment, I have an i3 7100, gtx 1050ti and 8gb RAM. I pretty much only use my PC for gaming. I was wondering whether it would benefit more to upgrade my cpu to a Ryzen 5 1600, or upgrade my gpu to the rx 580 8gb.

Yes, you would benefit from it, but your specs seems to be fair and advice you to use it for another year and then upgrade, then something new may be out. The only thing you should upgrade is your RAM, upgrade it to 16 GB.
