Hello,
I've decided to build a new gaming PC. I've never built a PC before and my knowledge about parts isn't that good. I decided to go with a GTX 1060 6GB Armor OCV1 and an Intel core i5-6600K. I actually have a few choices for a motherboard but I wanted to go with the white theme so I picked an Asus - PRIME Z270-K. The RAM that I picked is Kingston - HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 2666Mhz. I wanted to go with 16 gigabytes of RAM but I will go over my budget, so I will probably upgrade in the future since the motherboard has 4 RAM slots. The one thing I'm not sure about is the CPU cooler. I picked the Thermaltake Contac Silent 12 ( Dimensions (W x D x D mm): 127 x 75.3 x 153. ) and I have no idea if it will fit inside the case and if it will block the RAM slots. The case is an NZXT S340 Glossy White Mid Tower ( Dimensions (W x H x D mm) 203 x 474 x 432. ). I can't afford an SSD right now, so I decided to get only a Western Digital - Blue 1TB 3.5". And for a power supply I chose a Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX . The Recommended System Power (W) on Nvidia's GTX 1060 specs is 400W. The system is 331W on pcpartpicker and I'm not really interested in overclocking so I suppose 550W 80+ will be enough. If it's needed, I can provide the links for the components that I've picked. Thank you in advance!!

Here's a pcpartpicker list of my parts:
*Note: The ram's speed is 2666Mhz not 2133Mhz!*

Solution
I'd say yes , with a ryzen & a 1060 , a 75htz screen ia a very very good choice

That aoc is a nice screen full stop , it maybe €15-20 more than what you were looking at ??

But you spend an awful lot/of time looking at the screen & it just pays to get a good one imo.

I've looked on both those sites you mentioned & really there's nothing that touches it for similar money.

No, I haven't got any spare parts right now. Also I prefer Intel. If you have some good reason to pick Ryzen tell me.

(7600k is the new 6600k)

this is a video from 4 months ago, it was new tech so games were fully optimalized for intel and not for amd, but is patched for the majority.
amd features 6 cores and 12 threads vs just 4 cores from the i5 7600k, its just the better value for the moment.

conclussion: intel is still ahead in gaming but you get for 90%+- the gaming experience , better multitasking(streaming ,ts skype while gaming), better in multithreaded applications (video edditing ).

truth to be told, i never had an issue with intel, but i had no other choice because a year ago amd was no competition to intel , but now it is(thx to ryzen).

I see. What ryzen 5 would you recommend me for about the same price? And also if there's a white motherboard for ryzen that would be good.

I will check it out. Some parts aren't available here in Bulgaria.

Both of these motherboards are available here, the prices are nice. Is the stock cooler good?

Stock cooler with the 1600 is excellent (the 1600x does not come with a cooler) .
Personally I think the 1600 is easily the best buy , performance at stock is within 4% of the 1600x worst case scenario (normally the same as they'll both triple core boost to 3.7ghz) , its cheaper , it comes with a cooler which is easily capable of overclocking to 4ghz.

Out of those 2 boards I'd pick the pro 4 because I own one & its simply good enough .

Its surely a LOT cheaper than the killer ????
Would the pro 4 allow you to get 16gb ram in there in budget ??
If the answer is yes then it makes sense.

The Pro4 is 50 euro cheaper. A 8gb stick is 85 euro. I probably can afford it

In all cases, 16gb ram is going over my budget. I was thinking about upgrading my ram in future since the difference between 8gb and 16gb isn't that huge. After I buy a monitor, keyboard, headset etc. I might have some money left so I could buy an SSD or more RAM

I'm going to buy parts from a website. I live in Bulgaria. Changing the motherboard and CPU didn't really make a price difference. I can get a ryzen 5 1600x with a be quite cooler and that pro4 motherboard and it will cost me the same. Where I live there are no local stores nearby.

Actually there are plenty of websites. I found the Ryzen 5 1600x + be quiet! cpu cooler on offer on Desktop.bg
But I mainly use emag.bg
My budget is around 1100 euro. You can convert bgn to eur.

Straight away I'm seeing the 1600x + be quiet coming in at €294 & the 1600+ stock cooler at €232.

That to me is more than a small difference.

https://m.emag.bg/pamet-crucial-ballistix-sport-lt-16-gb-2x8gb-ddr4-2400-mhz-cl16-1-2v-bls2c8g4d240fsb/pd/DWT9BYBBM/

Ballistix sport 2400 2 x 8gb is €63 more than a single 8gb 2666mhz hyperx - I've had the ballistix running at 2933mhz on the pro 4 but have settled on 2666mhz because it uses less voltage & performs virtually the same.
