HP Pavilion g7-1167dx Notebook PC
Windows 10 Pro
1.80GHz VISION Ultimate Technology from AMD with AMD Phenom II Quad-Core Mobile Processor P960

Just flashed latest F.6A Bios
(Laptop battery is dead - does not charge)

This is just an old spare laptop we have. it will boot to the HP Logo Bios screen, and sit there for over 10 minutes before it attempts to boot into windows 10. It does not matter if you try to go into Bios settings, or startup options - it will wait 10+ minutes before anything happens.

Swapped to a different drive I had laying round, and it has the same behavior as well. Pull the hard drive, and try to boot off a Ubuntu USB drive - same wait time.

When you can eventually get into Bios settings, there are no options for Secure/UEFI - simply boot order. Disabled CD/DVD Rom from boot options as well. - have not tried to completely remove yet.

I have had a SSD in the laptop before (moved to a different computer now) as well as 2 different 5400rpm drives. Even with the drive out, it will still take 10+ minutes to boot to USB flash drive.

I’ll keep tinkering with it. Thankfully it’s just a spare laptop.

It will sit on the HP logo BIOS screen for 10-15 minutes doing nothing. It does not matter what selection you make, it will just sit for this period of time before it moves on.
